The book brings a comprehensive view of a unique part of the rich cultural heritage of Czech theatre. On more than 400 pages, the authors present annotated reproductions and pictorial examples of several hundred curtains from various periods and corners of the Czech Republic. They have arranged them according to the motif depicted - for example, the chapters Muse, Myths of Czech History or Images of Home, or according to their use - curtains of puppet theatres, iron curtains and curtains in the service of scenography.
