A collection of five contemporary plays published as part of the international project Fabulamundi in collaboration with Letí Theatre. The publication presents five dramatic texts that the theatre worked with during its participation in the project: Alexandra Badea: Connecting Europe; Ella Hickson: The Author; Pier Lorenzo Pisano: For Your Own Good; Volker Schmidt: The Textile Trilogy; Joan Yago: Short Conversations with Extraordinary Women. The plays reflect the essential features of contemporary life, whether on political themes, such as the dependence of ecology on lobbying in the highest political circles of Europe, or on private ones, such as the eternal search for personal and artistic identity, the oppressiveness of unchanging family constellations, and the confusion of sexual preferences. The committee also provides a bizarre insight into the lives of famous women or a story from the not-too-distant future, where poor Europeans seek work as gastarbeiters on richer, more developed continents.
