The organising team of the 15th Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space was awarded the Czech Association of Public Relations Award ‘Lemur’ on 20 June 2024.

The award-winning project The Prague Quadrennial has a worldwide reputation thanks to its community (Světové renomé má Pražské Quadriennale díky své komunitě) sums up the international part of the communication campaign for last year’s PQ. The jury appreciated its complex solution, the interconnection of several communication tools, the timing and execution and the great results of the campaign.

The campaign was developed throughout 2022 and 2023, engaging strategically and in several phases the international community of curators, exhibitors, jurors, embassy and cultural diplomacy workers, that has been historically forming around PQ. With their help, the Prague Quadrennial communications team built a database of key media and authors from around the world. Members of the ‘PQ-community’ have also been involved in the dissemination of press releases and other information about the upcoming 15th PQ and its programme, the preparation of press trips and the subsequent media monitoring.

The work resulted in 21 press trips of authors from 15 countries, 520 media clippings in 40 countries (excluding Czechia), 70 long read reviews and interviews with PQ artists, dozens of mentions in scientific and academic literature and coverage in prestigious international and national newspapers such as The Guardian, The Stage, El País, Le Monde, Telewizja Polska, Rzeczpospolita, O Globo or Milenio.

The campaign was carried out by members of the communication team of the 15th PQ Adam Dudek, Júlia Pecková, Kristýna Žáčková, Michaela Sikorová and Štěpán Pařízek, the general manager of PQ 2023 Michaela Buriánková and its artistic director Markéta Fantová, in cooperation with the entire organising team of the Prague Quadrennial, and the communication departments of the Arts and Theatre Institute and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

The Czech Award for Public Relations ‘Lemur’ is awarded annually by APRA (Association of Public Relations, z. s.), a voluntary association of PR agencies and PR teams of companies and organizations operating in Czechia. During the ceremony of this year’s 19th edition, awards were given in 24 categories. Expert juries evaluated a total of 325 entries.

Congratulations to the awarded PQ colleagues!
