The portal is only in Czech for now and its English version is going to be launched in autumn. It is designed for Czech performers and managers in culture as well as foreign professionals working with Czech artists.
“When creating the infopoint, the ATI was inspired by the long-time cooperation with foreign networks and partners, whose experience was used when we created the concept,” says ATI director Pavla Petrová. These are, for instance, DutchCulture/TransArtists, Wales Arts International or MobiCulture. One of the most important partners in this respect is the network to support international mobility On the Move. The key foreign partner of the project in 2017 was the German infopoint for mobility Touring Artists at the ITI center in Berlin, whose know-how was exploited by the ATI. As far as the Czech Republic is concerned, the main partner for studies preparation is Fair Art.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and is based on the approved State Cultural Policy 2015-2020 and the Strategy of Support for the Arts in the Czech Republic 2015–2020, the priority task No. 30 – to set up and support an Infopoint for the Mobility of Artists to provide Czech artists, theorists, and other workers in the cultural sector with information and advice to make it easier for them to be professionally active abroad and likewise to make it easier to welcome foreign artists in the Czech Republic – based on a Recommendation of the European Commission.
