The magazine is moving towards greater openness in principle. It is moving to Open Access mode.
In line with the concept of the Summer Theatre Symposia, Theatre Review will aspire to interdisciplinary access. Issues will be thematically structured and will always offer several different perspectives on selected topics – not only theatrical, but also from experts in other fields. Interdisciplinarity can be manifested both within a single study and as a principle of composition of studies and contributions of the journal, which will be open to authors from other disciplines. The journal will also be open to a variety of methodological approaches.
Divadelní revue will remain a peer-reviewed periodical (included in the SCOPUS database), will continue to be published by the Cabinet for the Study of Czech Theatre, and will switch to an editorial mode. Each issue will have a responsible editor, the position of editor-in-chief will cease to exist.
A new editorial board will be formed, and the journal will have all its issues fully available online on a new website. The change will also be demonstrated by a new graphic design.
