The Arts and Theatre Institute has published the electronic version of Martin J. Švejda’s Iva Janžurová. From The Lark to Elizabeth II.

The first specialized monograph about one of the most famost and popular Czech actresses in the after-war history depicts her theatre, film and TV production in ten chapters, and it also deals with her life. The focal point of the monograph is the detailed examination of the theatre career. It describes the early years at DAMU, one-year employment in the F.X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, more than twenty years spent at the Vinohrady Theatre, which ranked among the most prolific and worthwhile period of her career, and the current contract in the National Theatre (since 1987).

The monograph, which is part of the project Czech Theatre Encyclopaedia managed by the Department for Czech Theatre Studies, also includes the list of theatre roles and more than fifty photographs.
