In recent years, there has been increasingly visible research documentation of the impact of music cultivation on the development and condition of the human brain and psyche. In recent years, a large part of the professional public is also aware of the need for harmonious development of the personality of the young generation and a balanced lifestyle in general.
The "Global Compact on Music Education", initiated by the MEP Group, of which the Czech Music Council is a member, points out the first two principles agreed by experts from around the world on how music contributes to the development of humanity (Principle 1) and also harmonious development of brain activity, psychosomatic health, social and emotional intelligence (Principle 2). The motivational publication for the conference is the publication of E. Bigand and B. Tilmann, because it summarizes the research of recent years in a comprehensive way. The topic is very extensive and complex. For this reason, we would like to focus on research and projects that are usable or already used for teaching practice.
