Too soon Too late to remind us of the important year of 1918 as part of the annual celebrations

The in situ performative exhibition Too Soon Too Late is part of the cycle 100 Years on: 1918 European Dreams of Modernity, prepared by the Brussels cultural centre BOZAR for 2018 in association with cultural institutes, or permanent representations and local partners in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Romania, and Lithuania.

The co-production project by theatremakers and dancers from seven countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and Belgium is coordinated by the Arts and Theatre Institute in Prague with artistic managers being renowned Czech artists Tomáš Procházka (director) and Cristina Maldonado (dramaturgy). The project was supported by the subsidies of the International Visegrad Fund. The premiere in Brussels will take place on 26th – 27th May 2018.

The in situ performative exhibition was tailor-made for the Art Deco palace in the centre of the Belgian capital. The audience will have a chance to warch short dance pieces, performative actions and video instiallations, taking place continuously in loops of 90 minutes in 4 reruns, and they will be offered to walk freely in the installation. The project will be also presented in Budapest, and in Prague in autumn.

The project is coordinated by the Arts and Theatre Institute in Prague with artistic managers being renowned Czech artists Tomáš Procházka (director) and Cristina Maldonado (dramaturgy).
