Library

The library is open to anyone with in interest in theatre, from scholars, theorists, professionals, and students to enthusiastic members of the public.

The ATI’s library is one of the largest libraries specialising in theatre. The collection contains more than 120,000 volumes of theatre literature, theatre texts, literature in related fields, and periodicals. Come in – sign up – start studying.

The library has many unique materials, a great number of theatre texts, literature for scholars and more for hobbyists, theatre periodicals, audio recordings, and more.

We can help you to orientate yourself in our collections and databases.
With our help you will find more in the course of a single visit than you would at home on your own.
We will show you how to search our databases and provide advice on what other online services can be used when we are closed.
There are several reading rooms on site for readers and researches to use.
We are able to provide all of our services to disabled researchers in a barrier-free reading room accessed from the passage to Štupartská Street.
